     I have thoroughly enjoyed reading Richard North Patterson’s books.  So when my library emailed me and let me know his most recent release was waiting for me to pick it up, I was psyched.

That said, The Spire, is not on my list to reread at a future date.  (Yes, I have a list of books that I want to reread in the future.  So I am a book nerd, whatever!)  I am not sure why I could not lose myself in this book.  I wish I new.  This is a case of me really wanting to enjoy the book, but I did not.

It picked up a bit towards the end.  Yes, I must finish every book that I start.  There has only been one book I did not finish.  Out of thousands of books, that is not too bad.  You will notice that this post is more about me than the book, sorry for that.  It just shows, this book was not it for me.  I really enjoy his other books.  Exile, The Outside Man, Eyes of a Child, great books.
