Since I am already disenchanted with our politicians, the revelations in this book are not hard for me to swallow.  David Baldacci begins First Familywith a child’s birthday party at Camp David.  From there, the action escalates.  Sean King and Michelle Maxwell are flawed, but believable characters.  As they search for the truth, they learn things about themselves and others that shock them and the reader.

The story moves quickly and makes the reader stay invested in the book.  I had a hard time putting it down!  Grab the book from Barnes and Noble or head out to the library.

Enjoy!

November 17   True Blue – Book Review

David Baldacci fans, cheer out loud.  True Blue is a winner.  Action, hints at romance, conflict, and one kick-ass heroine are just a few things to love about this book.

You will meet Mace and her Police Chief sister.  Not just any Police Chief, but the Chief of Washington D.C.  As Mace fights to get her old life back, she takes us on a wild ride through D.C. on her Ducati.  I am hoping this is the first in many novels featuring Mace.

The complexity of the plot is great.  You are kept guessing throughout the book, “Who are the bad guys?”.  Baldacci’s proper police lingo pulls the reader further into the story.  Even better, there is no filler text, it is all relevant.  Run to B&N or your library and grab a copy of this great read.

Enjoy!
